How My Bookkeeper Uses AI
At My Bookkeeper, AI is used to support our team with routine tasks (for example, invoice text recognition and internal drafting). AI helps us work faster and reduce errors—but it never replaces professional judgement. A qualified team member reviews all AI-assisted outputs before they affect your books, payroll, or filings.
Where your data lives
Systems of record for client financial information are hosted in Canada. Some narrowly scoped processing by trusted sub-processors may occur outside Canada (for example, model inference). When that happens, we require contractual, technical, and organisational safeguards that provide comparable protection to Canadian standards.
What we won’t do
- We do not operate a client-facing chatbot.
- We do not paste identifiable client information into public generative tools.
- We do not use AI to make automated decisions about your services.
Your privacy rights
We follow BC’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and applicable federal requirements. You can request access to, or correction of, your personal information. If retention rules require us to keep certain records, we will restrict processing rather than delete them.
